Job Description
Candidate will work across the global businesses to support growth and direct innovation support for medium and longer term innovations in coordination with cross-functional teams. Position will also collaborate directly with chemist, pilot facility, operations, third party tollers and equipment manufacturers. The expectation is that the position will directly support long term polymer Research & Development team. Travel expectations to support new process technology scale up globally is approximately 20%. The individual will also lead toll manufacturing qualifications in North America. The ideal candidate will have experience in a process R&D setting with broad knowledge of multiple unit operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Work closely with scientists within global technology platforms, as well as, regional leaders supporting all aspects of scale up, capital engineering, and R&D lab operations.
+ Develop/introduce new process technologies to Avery Dennison. Devise strategies to evaluate and assess new process technologies that allow for introduction of new product innovations to the market.
+ Provide technical input for business case development and assist with presentation to business leadership team.
+ Work with teams to complete feasibility assessment of ideas, provide technical input to define scope of work, identify new/alternate process technologies, initial investment estimates and scoping possible scale up partners.
+ Participate in new process technology development, scoping/specifying new equipment and ensuring good engineering practices are followed.
+ Work closely with contractors, vendors and third party solution providers to ensure scope of work is met.
+ Awareness of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles to ensure new process and equipment installations meet requirements.
+ Work in a safe manner and ensure that safety practices are implemented and followed for new equipment installations.
Minimum Requirements
+ 10 - 15 years experience chemical scale up and new process technology implementation
+ Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering - required
+ Master's or Ph.D. in chemical engineering -preferred
+ Strong project management skills - required
+ Ability to drive projects to completion
+ Proven ability to communicate and develop influential relationships at multiple levels within an organization, and lead in a positive and collaborative manner
+ Strategic thinker with strong implementation skills
+ Willing to travel 20%+ per year locally and globally
+ Global experience is a plus
+ Polymer science/ bench scale development a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
